Hazardous waves and currents expected
The National Weather Service expects waves of 3 to 5 feet along the Sheboygan County shoreline, along with strong structural and longshore currents. Possible rip currents may develop as high waves and onshore winds affect the lakeshore.
These conditions can make swimming dangerous and can create added risks near piers, breakwalls and other structures. The active statement applies to the lakeshore area, not every inland location in Sheboygan County.
