Sheboygan Area Schools to Offer Free Breakfast and Lunch to All Students in 2026-27
Sheboygan, Wisconsin — August 13, 2026
The Sheboygan Area School District will provide breakfast and lunch at no charge to every enrolled student during the 2026-27 school year.
The district says the meal benefit is provided through the federal Community Eligibility Provision, so families do not need to qualify by income for students to receive the no-cost meals.
Registration deadline is August 14
SASD’s online annual registration window runs through Friday, August 14, 2026. Families completing registration are asked to submit the district’s CEP application with the other registration materials.
The application is not required for students to receive free breakfast and lunch. SASD says the information helps maintain educational funding and may support eligibility or discounts for some other district and Recreation Department programs.
Families can complete registration through the district’s annual registration page. SASD lists Tuesday, September 1, 2026, as the first day of school.
Adult meal prices
Although student meals are provided at no charge, SASD lists adult meal prices at $3.60 for breakfast and $4.85 for lunch.
Families with questions about the meal program can contact the SASD School Nutrition Office at 920-459-3568.
This update applies to students enrolled in the Sheboygan Area School District. Meal policies may differ in other Sheboygan County school districts, so families outside SASD should check with their own school system.
