Sheboygan Area School District Students Will Receive Free Breakfast and Lunch in 2026-27
Sheboygan, Wis. — Aug. 5, 2026. Students enrolled in the Sheboygan Area School District will be able to receive breakfast and lunch at no charge during the 2026-27 school year.
SASD says it qualifies for the Community Eligibility Provision, or CEP, which allows all enrolled students in the district to receive school breakfast and lunch without paying for those meals.
Families are asked to complete the CEP application
Although the free meals are available to all enrolled SASD students, the district is asking families to complete a CEP application during annual online registration. SASD says the information helps support educational funding for schools and other program purposes.
Completing the application is not required for a student to receive free breakfast or lunch. Families should still look for the application as they complete registration for the upcoming school year.
Registration runs through August 14
SASD’s annual online registration period runs from August 3 through August 14, 2026.
Returning students should complete registration through Skyward Family Access. Families enrolling a new student should contact their neighborhood school for registration assistance.
The district’s school-meals information also includes guidance related to FoodShare, confidentiality, language assistance and additional benefits. Meal-application information is available in English, Spanish and Hmong.

The 2026-27 meal benefit applies to enrolled students across the Sheboygan Area School District. Families do not need to wait for approval of the CEP application before a student can receive free meals, but submitting the form can help SASD maintain educational funding tied to family eligibility information.
