Saturday, August 15: Small Craft Advisory Covers Lake Michigan Nearshore Waters Near Sheboygan Until 7 p.m.
Sheboygan County, WI — August 15, 2026. Small Craft Advisories remain in effect until 7 p.m. CDT Saturday, August 15, for Lake Michigan nearshore waters affecting boaters along the Sheboygan County shoreline.
The National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan office continued an advisory at 8:23 a.m. for nearshore waters from Sheboygan to North Point Lighthouse. NWS Green Bay continued a separate advisory at 10:05 a.m. for waters from Two Rivers to Sheboygan.
Saturday, August 15 marine conditions
In the Two Rivers-to-Sheboygan zone, southeast winds are expected at 5 to 15 knots, with gusts up to 20 knots and waves from 2 to 4 feet.
South of Sheboygan, in the Sheboygan-to-North Point Lighthouse zone, southeast winds are expected at 10 to 20 knots, with gusts around 25 knots and waves from 3 to 5 feet. The official marine zones also reference the Sheboygan-to-Port Washington and Port Washington-to-North Point Light waters.
The NWS considers these conditions hazardous to small craft. Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid navigating during the advisory period.
