The National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan office expects moderate to high swim risk at Lake Michigan beaches in Sheboygan County from Friday night, August 14, into Saturday, August 15.
The NWS outlook issued at 1:57 p.m. CDT Wednesday, August 12, also says Small Craft Advisory conditions are possible Friday night into Saturday on the nearshore waters from Sheboygan to Port Washington. The outlook does not say that an advisory has been issued.
What to check before heading out
Boaters and anglers should review the latest nearshore marine forecast before launching and be prepared to change plans if an advisory is issued. Swimmers and shoreline visitors should check the latest beach-hazard information before traveling.
The NWS Sheboygan County forecast, updated Wednesday afternoon, calls for a 40 percent chance of showers after midnight Friday night and a 40 percent chance of precipitation Saturday. Conditions and official products may change before the weekend.
