Sheboygan Property Owners Can Prepare for August 24–28 Open Book Meetings
Sheboygan, Wisconsin — August 19, 2026.
City of Sheboygan property owners will have an August 24–28 window to review their 2026 assessment information with city assessment staff. The city says Open Book will be handled mostly by email or phone, with limited in-office appointments available.
Open Book schedule
- Monday, August 24: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Tuesday, August 25: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Wednesday, August 26: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Thursday, August 27: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Friday, August 28: 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Email is the preferred way to contact the Assessment Department. Property owners may also call 920-459-3388 before Open Book concludes. The city recommends reaching out before the deadline if an owner wants to compare property information with similar properties or discuss a concern with assessment staff.
What property owners should review
Assessment notices for 2026 were mailed Monday, August 10. The notices are part of the City of Sheboygan’s 2022–2026 citywide revaluation. Owners should check the information on their notice and gather any questions before contacting the city.
Open Book is a review and discussion period, not a formal appeal hearing. It gives property owners an opportunity to talk with assessment staff and review information before the city’s later Board of Review process.
Board of Review is scheduled for October 13
The City of Sheboygan lists its 2026 Board of Review for Tuesday, October 13, from 9 to 11 a.m. The meeting is scheduled at City Hall, 828 Center Avenue, Sheboygan. Appointments and a formal objection form are required for that process. Property owners who may need the Board of Review should review the city’s instructions and contact the City Clerk in advance.
The August Open Book period ends Friday morning, August 28. These dates apply to City of Sheboygan property owners and do not establish the schedules for Sheboygan Falls, Plymouth, or other Sheboygan County municipalities.
