Kohler-Andrae State Park Sets Nature Journaling Program for August 8
Sheboygan, WI August 3, 2026
Kohler-Andrae State Park will host a free Nature Journaling program from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, August 8, giving Sheboygan County families, visitors and outdoor enthusiasts a chance to slow down and observe the park through writing and sketching.
Program meets at the park amphitheater
The program will meet at the park amphitheater at Kohler-Andrae State Park, 1020 Beach Park Lane, Sheboygan. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says the activity is designed for both beginners and people with previous nature-journaling experience.
Materials will be provided, so participants do not need to bring their own journal supplies. The DNR event listing says the program is scheduled rain or shine.
What to bring to Kohler-Andrae
Participants may want to bring water, sunscreen, a hat and bug spray for the outdoor program. The Friends of Kohler-Andrae also lists the August 8 activity and confirms the park location and schedule.
A Wisconsin State Park vehicle-admission pass is required to enter the park. Visitors should plan for that requirement before leaving for the program and check the official event information for any updated instructions.
Nature journaling can be a simple way for children and adults to notice plants, wildlife, shoreline features and other details that are easy to miss during a faster park visit. With supplies provided and no prior experience required, the one-hour program offers a low-key option for adding an educational outdoor activity to a Saturday morning.
