Sheboygan, WI Gas & Diesel Watch: regular gas eases again, diesel slips to $5.27
Sheboygan, WI — June 12, 2026.
What changed at the pump
AAA’s June 12 price check shows both fuels easing again in the Sheboygan metro. Regular gas is down to $3.817 a gallon, while diesel slipped to $5.271. That keeps the local trend moving in the right direction for drivers, even if diesel is still a tough number for anyone hauling, delivering, or running a work fleet.
Regular gas: below $3.82 and still easing
Regular gas fell 0.8 cent from yesterday, 14.8 cents from last week, and 56.3 cents from last month. It is also 8.1 cents lower than the last Sheboygan Life fuel-price check on June 8. The year-over-year picture is still higher, though: regular gas is 91.6 cents above where it was a year ago.
For Sheboygan County commuters, school runs, and weekend travel, that means fill-ups are a little easier than they were just a few days ago. Sheboygan’s regular-gas average is also below Wisconsin’s AAA average of $3.898 and below the AAA national regular average of $4.108, so local drivers are still seeing a bit of a break compared with broader benchmarks.
Diesel: down again, but still above $5.25
Diesel eased 4 cents from yesterday, 20.2 cents from last week, and 66.3 cents from last month. It is down 9.1 cents from the June 8 check, but it remains sharply higher than a year ago at $2.027 above last year’s level.
That matters for contractors, delivery drivers, farmers, restaurants, service businesses, and anyone moving equipment or product around the county. Even with the recent slide, diesel is still a major cost line, and Sheboygan’s diesel average is above Wisconsin’s $5.157. The U.S. diesel benchmark in the latest EIA weekly update was $5.210, which puts Sheboygan a bit above that national figure as well.
What local drivers should watch
For households, the lower regular-gas price can help a little with summer errands, day trips, and everyday commuting. For businesses, the diesel decline helps, but not enough to call it relief just yet. The month-to-month drop is real; the year-over-year comparison still shows fuel costs have a long way to go before they feel normal again.
If you are filling up around Sheboygan County, keep an eye on the spread between station prices and the metro average. A few cents here and there adds up fast over a week of commuting or a full day of deliveries.
