SHEBOYGAN, WI — September 7, 2026
The National Weather Service Green Bay issued a Small Craft Advisory at 1:47 a.m. CDT Monday, September 7, for Lake Michigan nearshore waters from Washington Island to Sheboygan.
The advisory runs from 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, through 7 a.m. Wednesday, September 9. Smaller-vessel operators and inexperienced mariners should delay or reconsider trips during the advisory period.

Winds and waves expected near Sheboygan
The advisory covers the Two Rivers-to-Sheboygan nearshore zone, along with waters from Sheboygan to Port Washington. Forecast conditions include south winds of 10 to 20 knots, gusts up to 25 knots and waves generally ranging from 3 to 6 feet.
The Sheboygan marine forecast calls for Tuesday waves of 4 to 6 feet, occasionally reaching 8 feet. Stronger winds are expected to continue into Wednesday.
