Sheboygan Students to Break Ground on 2026-27 House Project
Sheboygan, WI September 7, 2026.
Sheboygan North and South high school students will break ground Tuesday, September 8, on the Sheboygan Area School District’s 2026-27 house construction project.
Groundbreaking set for Stonebrook Crossing
The groundbreaking is scheduled from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at lot 76 in the Stonebrook Crossing subdivision on Stonebrook Drive in Sheboygan.
The project gives students an opportunity to take part in a real residential construction effort while applying classroom learning in construction, architecture and civil engineering. The district’s house construction program connects technical education with a local building project that students help develop.
Project supports future student opportunities
According to the school district, proceeds from the eventual sale of the completed home help support scholarships, tools, equipment and land purchases for future construction projects.
The district has not announced a completion date, sale price or buyer for the 2026-27 project.
For families and residents, the groundbreaking marks the start of a student learning project in south Sheboygan and shows how local technical education can connect students with residential construction and skilled careers.
