Broughton Drive Closed Monday, July 20, 2026 at 6:00 a.m. for YMCA Crossing Repair
Sheboygan, WI July 17, 2026
The City of Sheboygan Department of Public Works says crews will replace concrete pavement at the pedestrian crossing in front of the YMCA on Broughton Drive. The repair is needed due to heat-related pavement buckling on Broughton Drive between Wisconsin Avenue and Washington Court.
What’s happening and when
Monday, July 20, 2026 — starting at 6:00 a.m.
- Mid-block pedestrian crossing (in front of the YMCA): closed to pedestrian use.
- Drivers: a full closure of Broughton Drive is needed to complete the work.
- Crossing alternatives: pedestrians needing to cross Broughton Drive should use the crosswalks at Wisconsin Avenue or Washington Court.
Detour routes during the closure
- Southbound Broughton Drive: East on Niagara Avenue → South on North 4th Street → East on Pennsylvania Avenue.
- Northbound Broughton Drive: North on North 4th Street → East on Niagara → North on Broughton Drive.
Deland Park lots and Harbor Centre Marina access
The City says access to Deland Park parking lots and the Harbor Centre Marina will be available by using an access route from the south off Pennsylvania Avenue. The City also notes the work is weather dependent, and rain may extend the schedule.
