Sheboygan County 4-H Outlines School and Library Outreach Plans
A new UW–Madison Extension Sheboygan County update outlines plans to introduce more young people to 4-H through schools and libraries, support adult volunteers and hear from club members about their experiences.
Published Oct. 21, 2026, the update says the county program plans to attend club meetings to learn what members value about belonging to 4-H and what could help increase enrollment. The school and library outreach is intended to make 4-H more visible to young people as an option.
Extension reports summer camp and library programming
Extension reports that 151 youth leaders, adult staff and campers participated in Base/Outpost Camp at Upham Woods this summer. The update also says an AmeriCorps summer member delivered programming through 23 programs at libraries and the Sheboygan Area School District Recreation Department.
The update says youth and club leaders are expected to gather for a kickoff in November. It also lists a livestock-learning activity planned for March and a Project Day at the UW-Green Bay Sheboygan Campus among upcoming efforts. The update does not provide exact dates for these activities, so families should confirm schedules before making plans.
