Small Craft Advisory Covers Sheboygan-to-Port Washington Waters Saturday, Oct. 24

A Small Craft Advisory is in effect from noon to 10 p.m. CDT Saturday, Oct. 24, for Lake Michigan nearshore waters from Sheboygan to Port Washington, marine zone LMZ643. The National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan issued its update at 5:48 a.m. CDT.

Forecasters expect south winds of 10 to 20 knots, gusts up to 25 knots, and waves of 3 to 5 feet. The NWS says conditions will be hazardous to small craft. This advisory covers the specified nearshore waters, not land areas.

The NWS advises inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, to avoid navigating in hazardous conditions during the advisory period.
