Plymouth’s Cheese Capital Festival returns June 26-27 with parade, contests and Road America procession
PLYMOUTH, Wis. — June 23, 2026
Plymouth’s Cheese Capital Festival is set for Friday and Saturday, June 26-27, giving Sheboygan County residents and visitors a two-day downtown plan centered on Stayer Park and downtown Plymouth. The festival will bring cheese-themed food, contests, music and family activities to the city’s core.
Friday night Road America procession
The Plymouth Chamber says the festival opens Friday evening with a Road America Trans Am Series car procession. Road America says the cars leave Gate 6 at 5:45 p.m., head into downtown Plymouth, arrive at Stayer Park around 6 p.m. and return at 8 p.m.
That should make Friday evening busy for anyone driving, dining or meeting friends downtown. It also gives local fans a chance to see the procession roll through town before the full weekend begins.
Saturday parade, contests and kid-friendly fun
Saturday’s cheese-themed parade is scheduled for 10 a.m. The organizer says the day also includes a kids zone, strolling magic, a balloon artist, face painting, a cow petting zoo and other dairy-themed activities. Food and contest highlights include cheese tasting, cheese-centric vendors, a cheese-eating contest and a foam cheese wedge race with a $1,000 grand prize.
Travel Wisconsin lists Stayer Park at 39 Stafford St. in Plymouth, which should help visitors plan parking and routing before heading downtown.
For families looking for a nearby summer outing, the festival offers one evening of car action and a full Saturday of downtown activity without leaving Sheboygan County.
