Baby Deer on the Run! Fawn Spotted Dashing Down Indiana Avenue in Sheboygan

It’s not every day you see a little deer sprinting through the streets of Sheboygan—but that’s exactly what happened this week on Indiana Avenue!
A local resident caught the adorable moment on their home security cameras. The footage shows a young fawn, likely just a few weeks old, trotting briskly down the sidewalk and street, weaving its way through the neighborhood. The video has been shared on YouTube for the community to enjoy: Watch the video here.
This kind of sighting isn’t too unusual during late spring and early summer, as young deer begin to explore beyond their usual wooded areas. Urban deer sightings are becoming more common across Wisconsin as natural habitats continue to shrink and deer populations grow.
If you spot wildlife in the city, experts recommend keeping a safe distance and allowing the animals to find their way back to safer environments on their own. In this case, the little fawn looked healthy and alert—and hopefully found its way back to the nearby green spaces.
