Celebrate Independence Day with a theatrical twist: the Sheboygan Theatre Company (STC) kicks off its 92nd season on Friday, July 4, with “Freaky 4th of July: MISCAST.” Under the direction of Abi Charbonneau, 16 local performers will swap their usual parts for roles they’ve never tackled—imagine a Mary Poppins duet where Mary is played by… well, someone unexpected!

“This show is a celebration of freedom—not just our nation’s, but the freedom to experiment on stage. Our cast is bursting with talent and ready to surprise you at every turn.”

Meet Your Director
Abi Charbonneau brings a bi-coastal résumé—from New York City Ballet collaborations to Disney Musicals in Schools—right here to Sheboygan. As the founder of the Emerging Artist Project, she’s passionate about making theater accessible to all ages. “Watching artists break out of their comfort zones is pure magic,” she says, “and it perfectly captures our Fourth of July spirit.”
