Random Lake Water-Main Project Begins August 31 on Four Village Streets
Random Lake, WI — August 28, 2026.
A water-main and related street reconstruction project will begin Monday, August 31, in the Village of Random Lake, affecting portions of Russell Drive, 2nd Street, Bentert Street and 1st Street.
The first phase will take place on Russell Drive between Hickory Drive and Butler Street. The village expects that segment’s water-main work to take up to three weeks, with a sanitary manhole replacement included during the same phase.
Project will move in phases
The broader project is expected to last approximately three months, depending on construction progress and weather. Work will later continue on portions of 2nd Street, Bentert Street and 1st Street.
Roads in active construction areas will be closed to through traffic but remain open to local traffic. Driveway access will be maintained when possible, although conditions may change as work moves between sections. Emergency access will also be maintained.
Residents will receive water-service notices
Planned interruptions to water service will be announced in advance by the village. Residents and businesses near the affected blocks should watch for updates and allow extra time when entering or leaving the area.
The village says residents will not be charged a special assessment or project cost for the work. Additional restoration, including curb, sidewalk, ADA-ramp and road improvements, is planned for spring 2027.
