Sheboygan Theatre Company’s Studio Players Present “110 Stories” – An Emotional Tribute to 9/11 First Responders and Survivors
SHEBOYGAN, WI—April 3, 2025—The Sheboygan Theatre Company (STC), proudly celebrating its 91st Season, announces that its acclaimed Studio Players group will stage “110 Stories,” a powerful play by Sarah Tuft. Directed by Randy Stache, this compelling production will run from April 24 through April 27, 2025, at The John Michael Kohler Arts Center, located at 608 New York Ave in Sheboygan.
“‘110 Stories’ showcases what theater does best—capturing human experiences with authenticity, empathy, and depth,” said Tricia Roberts, Executive Director of STC. “This production encourages audiences to connect deeply with the personal stories of 9/11, highlighting our collective vulnerability and extraordinary resilience in times of tragedy. We’re honored to share this significant and moving work with our community.”
“110 Stories” vividly portrays the moments of September 11, 2001, through intimate narratives from eyewitnesses, survivors, and recovery workers. From the initial shock of the attacks to heartfelt farewells at Ground Zero, the play shares deeply personal accounts from diverse individuals such as a photojournalist, a mother, an ironworker, a nurse, a massage therapist, and a homeless hero who saved lives that day. This production strips away political rhetoric and sensationalism, restoring dignity and humanity to one of history’s darkest days.
Director Randy Stache emphasized the historical importance of the production: “It’s essential to retell this moment in history with the reverence and gravity it demands. Like so many others, I remember vividly exactly where I was as those tragic events unfolded live on television. September 11 profoundly changed the world—not just America. Its effects still echo globally. I invite audiences to experience this production with fervent remembrance and thoughtful reflection.”
Stache has a long-standing history with STC, making his debut in their 1996 production of “Done to Death.” This production of “110 Stories” marks his second directorial role with the Studio Players, following the highly praised 2018 production of “Hand to God.” In addition to directing, Randy actively contributes as a member of STC’s Advisory Committee and chairs its Volunteerism Committee. Retired as Facilities Superintendent at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, Randy credits his wife Debra for her constant support throughout their 26 years together.
