Regular gas is back above $4 per gallon in the Sheboygan metro area, while diesel has climbed close to $5.86. AAA’s September 11 price check shows both fuels higher than the last Sheboygan Life fuel-price check on September 4.
What changed at the pump
AAA lists the Sheboygan metro average for regular gas at $4.0236 per gallon as of September 11. That is up from $3.9990 on September 10, $3.7810 one week earlier, $3.8269 one month earlier and $2.8836 one year earlier.
Compared with the September 4 check, regular gas is up about 24 cents per gallon. For a 15-gallon fill-up, that difference works out to roughly $3.64 more than it did at that earlier average.
Diesel is nearing $5.86
AAA’s Sheboygan metro diesel average reached $5.8609 per gallon on September 11. Diesel was $5.7957 the day before, $5.6378 last week, $5.0312 last month and $3.4290 last year.
The month-over-month increase is about 83 cents per gallon, making diesel the sharper cost pressure for fuel-intensive work. Diesel is also about 22 cents higher than the September 4 Sheboygan Life check. Compared with last month’s average, filling a 25-gallon tank costs roughly $20.74 more at the current metro average.
