Sensory Storytime Returns to Mead Public Library September 14
Sheboygan, WI — September 9, 2026 — Mead Public Library will host a 30-minute Sensory Storytime on Monday, September 14, offering Sheboygan families a calmer, lower-stimulation library program for young children.
The program will run from 2 to 2:30 p.m. in the Story Garden at Mead Public Library, 710 N. 8th Street in Sheboygan.
A calmer library experience for young children
Sensory Storytime is designed for children with developmental abilities similar to ages 2 to 5. The format includes dimmed lighting, reduced sound, a relaxed pace, simple stories, songs, interactive activities, fidget tools and other sensory supports.
Children may participate in the way that works best for them. The shorter program and quieter setting give caregivers another way to include a library activity in a family’s routine.
Registration required by September 14
Registration is required and closes at 1 p.m. Monday, September 14. Families should register in advance through Mead Public Library’s official event listing.
Sensory Storytime will take place in the Story Garden at Mead Public Library, 710 N. 8th Street, Sheboygan. Caregivers planning to attend should complete registration before the deadline.
