Sheboygan gas slips again before July 4, while diesel eases but stays near $4.70
Sheboygan, WI — Friday, July 3, 2026.
Sheboygan County drivers are getting another small break at the pump heading into the July 4 weekend. AAA’s Friday check puts regular gas at $3.476 and diesel at $4.700, both easing again from the last Sheboygan price check on June 29.
What changed at the pump
Regular gas is down from $3.563 on the previous check, and diesel is down from $4.783. For everyday driving, that gives commuters, school-trip families, and weekend errand runners a little more breathing room across Sheboygan, Kohler, Sheboygan Falls, and nearby communities.
Sheboygan regular gas is also below the Wisconsin average of $3.593 and the U.S. average of $3.823. Regular fuel is lower than a week ago, a month ago, and a year ago in AAA’s comparison table.
Diesel is close to $4.70
Diesel remains the bigger budget watch item for local drivers. At $4.700, Sheboygan diesel is a little above the Wisconsin average of $4.635 and below the U.S. average of $4.811. It is also lower than a week ago and a month ago, but still above year-ago levels.
That matters for contractors, delivery drivers, farmers, restaurants, service businesses, and anyone running heavier vehicles over the holiday stretch. A few cents per gallon can add up quickly when trucks, vans, and equipment are being topped off for July 4 travel or event work.
What local drivers should watch this holiday weekend
AAA said on July 2 that drivers are getting some relief at the pump ahead of the Independence Day weekend. The federal EIA’s June 30 update also shows U.S. regular gasoline at $3.831 and on-highway diesel at $4.668 for the week ending June 29.
The broader trend is easing, even if diesel still carries the heavier local cost. If your tank is low, this is a good time to top off before holiday traffic picks up.
