Sheboygan Gas and Diesel Prices Rise Since Oct. 12 Check
Regular gas and diesel both rose in AAA’s latest Sheboygan metro snapshot. On Friday, Oct. 16, regular averaged $4.2656 per gallon and diesel averaged $6.3435. Compared with Sheboygan Life’s Oct. 12 check, regular is up 18.23 cents per gallon and diesel is up 8.37 cents.
What changed at the pump
AAA’s week-ago figures show regular gas at $4.1186 and diesel at $6.3267. That puts the current regular average 14.70 cents higher and diesel 1.68 cents higher than a week ago. Both fuels are also above AAA’s listed Sheboygan metro averages from a month and a year earlier.
The regular-gas increase since Oct. 12 is the larger move. For households, commuters and families making school runs, it may mean a higher fill-up where prices at a usual station track the metro trend. Diesel remains above $6 per gallon, a price to factor into fuel budgets for contractors, delivery operators, farmers and other businesses that depend on diesel vehicles or equipment. These are practical considerations, not reported local cost changes.
Broader fuel-price context
The U.S. Energy Information Administration’s update, released Oct. 14, reported Oct. 12 national averages of $4.331 for regular gasoline and $6.179 for on-highway diesel. In the Midwest, regular rose 3.6 cents from the prior week while diesel fell 2.7 cents. That regional pattern differs from AAA’s newer Sheboygan metro comparison, where both fuels are higher than a week ago.
The EIA figures are earlier, broader benchmarks, not Sheboygan prices. AAA’s metro averages are not quotes for every station, and pump prices can vary by location. Weekend travelers and local businesses may want to check nearby stations before filling up or planning fuel-dependent work.
