Sheboygan Gas and Diesel Prices Ease Since Oct. 9; Diesel Stays Above $6
Sheboygan, Wisconsin — October 12, 2026
Sheboygan metro fuel averages eased since the last Sheboygan Life check on Oct. 9. AAA’s Oct. 12 figures put regular gasoline at $4.0833 per gallon, down 3.53 cents, and diesel at $6.2598, down 6.69 cents. Diesel remains above $6.
What changed at the pump
Compared with AAA’s week-ago figures, regular gas is lower by 10.41 cents per gallon and diesel by 12.60 cents. The month-ago comparison moves in the other direction: regular is up 1.55 cents and diesel 35.11 cents. Compared with a year ago, regular is about $1.40 higher and diesel about $2.90 higher.
For national context, the U.S. averages in the Energy Information Administration’s Oct. 6 release were $4.354 for regular gasoline and $6.199 for on-highway diesel, based on Oct. 5 data. Those are earlier national figures, not a same-day comparison with Sheboygan.
What local drivers should watch
A lower regular-gas average may modestly ease fuel costs for household driving and school runs. Diesel above $6 remains a cost to watch for contractors, farmers, delivery operators, restaurants and other businesses that depend on diesel-powered vehicles or deliveries.
