Local government

Town of Mosel Town Board: The Town Board held its regular meeting on Tuesday, February 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall (W982 County Road FF, Sheboygan). Residents who follow Town actions on budgets, planning, and service contracts may want to watch for any posted follow-up items or next-month meeting details on the Town calendar.

Sheboygan County Board of Supervisors: The County Board met Tuesday, February 17. The posted agenda packet includes items such as a memorial resolution and multiple resolutions/ordinances routed through committees, including finance and shoreland-related actions elsewhere in the county. Even when items are outside Mosel’s borders, countywide decisions can influence services and rules that apply to town residents (planning, environmental, and budgeting impacts).

Roads & transportation

Sheboygan County Transportation Committee: The committee met February 16 (agenda posted). Topics included airport/highway updates and discussion items tied to sustainable transportation funding, functional classification changes, and a Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP) item. For Mosel residents, these discussions can affect longer-term prioritization of road funding and classifications that shape maintenance and grant eligibility.

Sheboygan Area School District (SASD): The SASD Board of Education has a regular meeting scheduled for Tuesday, February 24 at 6:00 p.m. at the Administrative Services Building (3330 Stahl Road, Sheboygan), with agendas posted on the district’s Board of Education page. Public safety

Sheboygan County fire response (Waldo): A house/garage fire in the Village of Waldo on February 19 drew a large mutual-aid response from departments across Sheboygan County, including area departments that also serve communities near Mosel. For Mosel-area households, it’s a reminder to keep winter heating and electrical safety checks current and to confirm address signage is visible for responders.
