Wade House Plans Autumn Celebration Weekend Oct. 10–11 in Greenbush
GREENBUSH, Wis. — Wade House Historic Site plans two days of fall activities Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 10–11, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at W7965 State Hwy 23 in Greenbush, Sheboygan County.
The Autumn Celebration Weekend is scheduled to include pumpkin carving, apple pressing, festive games, family-friendly stories, hot apple cider and horse-drawn carriage rides.
Saturday talk and admission
Author Dan Bussey is scheduled to present “Wisconsin Apples in Immigrant and Native Communities” on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Walnut Room.
Event admission is $17 for adults ages 18–64 and teens ages 13–17, $15 for seniors 65 and older, and $8.50 for children ages 5–12. Children under 5 are admitted free. Wisconsin Historical Society members receive a 10% discount on the event.
Plan for weather and access
The site is scheduled to remain open rain or shine. Wade House advises visitors to wear suitable walking shoes and dress for the weather. Not all historic areas are ADA accessible, and carriage rides may not work for every visitor with mobility needs.
