Final Large Item Collection Event of 2025 Scheduled for October 18
The City of Sheboygan Department of Public Works will hold its final Large Item Collection Event of the year on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Municipal Service Building, 2026 New Jersey Avenue.
These events, which began in May, were created to provide residents with a convenient way to dispose of bulky household items that do not fit into regular garbage pickup. The October event will close out the 2025 schedule and will not return until next spring.
Traffic & Parking Notes
To keep traffic flowing efficiently:
- Beginning October 17, parking will not be allowed on the east side of 22nd Street between New Jersey Avenue and Evans Street.
- Residents must enter the Municipal Service Building parking lot from the west, using Virginia Avenue off South 22nd Street.
- All participants must provide proof of City of Sheboygan residency.
- Event staff will have full authority to turn away commercial loads, waste from outside the city, and items on the “not accepted” list.
- Vehicles must exit onto New Jersey Avenue to the south.
