Road America’s Six-Hour IMSA Race Sets Sunday Schedule Near Plymouth
Plymouth, Wis. — August 1, 2026
Road America’s Motul SportsCar Endurance Grand Prix Featuring IMSA continues through Sunday, August 2, with the WeatherTech Championship’s new six-hour endurance format and a full morning of fan activities at the Sheboygan County-area track.
The event is taking place at Road America, N7390 Hwy 67 in Plymouth. IMSA and Visit Sheboygan County identify the event with Elkhart Lake, but those references point to the same Road America facility.
Sunday race schedule
Road America’s official fan schedule lists the following approximate times for Sunday, August 2:
- 8 a.m. — Corvette parade lap
- 8:20 a.m. — Porsche parade lap
- 9:05 a.m. — Reconnaissance lap and pre-race activities
- 9:20 a.m. — Open grid and fan walk
- 10:30 a.m. — Formation laps
- 10:40 a.m. — Motul SportsCar Endurance Grand Prix race start
Road America cautions that event times are approximate and may change, so visitors should check the venue’s current instructions before traveling.
Gates, camping and family activities
The main entrance opens at 7 a.m. Sunday. Gate 4 is designated for camping, and Sunday camping access is listed from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Gate 5 is open Saturday and Sunday.
Families can visit the Bank First Family Fun Zone at Turn 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Children age 12 and younger receive free admission to the zone when supervised. Road America also lists concessions, public karting and tram service, with pickup points marked by tram flags.
After Sunday’s race, fans can take part in a post-race track walk, giving visitors another way to experience the facility beyond the grandstands.
Overnight planning
Road America’s cabin page lists the cabins for the July 30–August 2 IMSA weekend as sold out. That does not establish that general admission, campsites or outside lodging are unavailable, but overnight visitors should confirm their plans before leaving for the track.
For Sheboygan County residents and visitors, the practical takeaway is an early start: gates open at 7 a.m., morning parade laps begin at 8 a.m., and the main six-hour race is scheduled for 10:40 a.m. Sunday, August 2.
