Help Bring Holiday Cheer to Sheboygan Housing Authority Residents

This Christmas season, the Sheboygan Housing Authority is reaching out to the community with a heartfelt request: help make the holidays brighter for local residents who may otherwise go without a gift this year.
Jackie Wilson, Service Coordinator for the Housing Authority, shared that many adult tenants—especially those who are elderly, low-income, or without nearby family—would deeply appreciate a small Christmas gift or token of care.
Wilson reached out to local organizations, including Catholic Charities, in hopes that area churches or community groups might be interested in “adopting” tenants for the holidays. Even simple gifts like warm socks, blankets, puzzle books, toiletries, or treats could make a meaningful difference for residents who often spend the season alone.
“A Christmas gift would mean a lot to them,” Wilson said. “We have many tenants who are very low income or aged without much family.”
The Housing Authority serves hundreds of Sheboygan residents across multiple buildings and programs, providing safe, affordable housing for individuals and families in need. Acts of kindness from neighbors, churches, and civic organizations help sustain not just the body but the spirit of this vital community.
