National Cheese Curd Day Celebrated the Wisconsin Way at 3 Sheeps Brewing Taproom – October 25

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. — Nothing says Wisconsin quite like beer, cheese, and good company, and 3 Sheeps Brewing Co. is bringing them all together for National Cheese Curd Day on Saturday, October 25, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at its taproom at 1837 North Avenue in Sheboygan.

This year’s “Curd Fest” promises a full day of cheesy fun, including fried-curd tastings, live music, free cheese-themed tattoos, and even a coronation of King and Queen Curd. Founder and brewmaster Grant Pauly calls it “equal parts ridiculous and wonderful”—a perfect description of Wisconsin pride served golden brown.

Cheesy Highlights

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., festival-goers can enjoy:

Parker John’s frying up crispy cheese curds (available for purchase).
A curd-off competition where restaurants like Black Pig, BoMallie’s, Bourbon Street, Holler n Hills, Legend Larry’s, Local Press, Miesfeld’s, Ryan’s on York, Silver Fern, and Urbane** battle for the title of Best Curd in Town.
Food trucks Junior’s Eats and Big Squeeze Tacos & Lemonade.
Cheese pull and curd toss contests.
Complimentary tattoos from Sheboygan’s Heart & Soul Tattoos and Full Throttle Ink of Sheboygan Falls.
Local cheesemakers The Big Cheese and Masters Gallery offering samples and products.
King and Queen Curd crowning at 2 p.m.
Live music at 6 p.m. by Milwaukee’s 4 On The Floor, known for high-energy classic-rock and blues covers that keep the night rolling.

Curd Royalty Contest

Want to rule Curd Fest? Nominations for King and Queen Curd are open through Wednesday, October 22. Winners—announced October 23—receive more than $200 in prizes, including 3 Sheeps merchandise, a cheese crown, free beer and curds, and gifts from Wisconsin favorites like Culver’s, Kwik Trip, Marcus Theatres, and Menards.

The nomination form playfully tests your devotion to dairy with questions such as:
“What cheese would you eat for life?” and “You open a fried cheese curd and it whispers something—what does it say?”
