Wizards & Wands Brings a Magical Twist to Gaming in Sheboygan
SHEBOYGAN, WI — Fantasy lovers, families, and aspiring heroes will want to mark their calendars for Saturday, August 23, 2025, when The GameBoard transforms into a realm of magic, dragons, and adventure for Wizards & Wands. Running from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 621 N. 8th Street in downtown Sheboygan, this immersive event offers a fun, hands-on introduction to tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs).
Visitors will step into a whimsical world where they can choose a wand, cast spells, and face off against a dragon—all while learning the basics of role-playing games in a welcoming environment. The event encourages creativity, storytelling, and teamwork, with no prior RPG experience required.
“This is a perfect opportunity for players of all ages to experience the magic of role-playing in a fun and welcoming setting,” said Lynn Potyen, owner of The GameBoard. “We love events that encourage storytelling, creativity, and connection. This one checks all the boxes”.
The shop, known for making games accessible and fun for everyone, has been a Sheboygan favorite since 2006. Potyen’s journey began when she connected her son’s speech therapy to games they played at home, inspiring her to share the benefits of gaming with the community.
