The GameBoard Helps Kick Off the Holidays in Downtown Sheboygan
Sheboygan, WI – October 20, 2025 — The holiday season in downtown Sheboygan is getting an early start this year as The GameBoard joins local businesses to celebrate Harbor Centre’s “Fall Into the Holidays” campaign during Holiday Kick-Off Week, running November 10–15, 2025. The weeklong event encourages residents and visitors to shop local, discover unique gifts, and enjoy the creative energy that defines Sheboygan’s downtown.
“Holiday Kick-Off Week is the perfect reminder that the best gifts don’t have to come from big-box stores,” said Lynn Potyen, owner of The GameBoard. “Every purchase at a local business strengthens our community and keeps Sheboygan’s spirit vibrant and thriving.”
Located at 621 N. 8th Street, The GameBoard offers hundreds of tabletop games ranging from cozy family favorites to the newest strategy and storytelling adventures. Shoppers can expect expert recommendations from Potyen and her team, who are known for their welcoming atmosphere and deep knowledge of games for all ages and skill levels.
As part of the celebration, shoppers can take part in the Fall Into the Holidays receipt raffle for a chance to win $250 in local shopping rewards. To enter, simply save receipts from participating small businesses, including The GameBoard, during the promotion.
“Holiday Kick-Off Week is the perfect time to explore all that downtown has to offer while finding meaningful gifts for everyone on your list,” said Kristin Bahr, Member Services Manager of the Harbor Centre BID. “Skip the big-box crowds. Shop small, shop early, and shop Sheboygan this season!”
The week culminates with the Downtown Open House on November 15, when participating businesses will feature extended hours, special promotions, and plenty of festive treats. It’s a chance to celebrate the season, find that perfect new game, and support the local shops that make Sheboygan shine.
