Safe Harbor Launches #Every1KnowsSome1 Campaign for Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Sheboygan, Wis. — October 15, 2025
Safe Harbor of Sheboygan County has joined the national #Every1KnowsSome1 campaign in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month this October. Partnering with the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) and the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence (PCADV), Safe Harbor is highlighting the message that “everyone knows someone” impacted by abuse—whether they realize it or not.
“Wisconsin now ranks seventh in the nation for domestic violence homicides,” said Deborah Lee, Executive Director of Safe Harbor. “Survivors are showing up with extraordinary courage every day—and now more than ever, it’s on all of us to meet that courage with action, awareness, and unwavering support.”
In 2024, 110 Wisconsinites lost their lives to domestic or family violence, including two in Sheboygan County. Safe Harbor hopes to inspire a community-wide commitment to awareness, education, and survivor support.
