Safe Harbor Encourages Community to Participate in Purple Thursday and GiveForDV

Sheboygan, Wis. — October 15, 2025
Safe Harbor of Sheboygan County is calling on residents to wear purple on Thursday, October 16, for Purple Thursday, a national day of awareness during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Participants are encouraged to share their photos using the hashtags #PurpleThursday, #DVAM, and #Every1KnowsSome1 to show solidarity with survivors.

Later this month, the community can also support survivors on Thursday, October 23, during GiveForDV, the national Day of Giving for domestic violence programs. Donations can be made directly to Safe Harbor at givefordv.nnedv.org/organizations/safeharbor.

Every contribution helps survivors rebuild safe, independent lives and ensures continued advocacy and crisis services in Sheboygan County.
