Camp Evelyn was founded in 1920 by the Girl Scouts of Manitou Council. The Manitou Council was established in 1917, and it serves the Girl Scout communities in the counties of Sheboygan, Manitowoc, Fond du Lac, Calumet, Ozaukee, and Washington in Wisconsin. The council’s mission is to empower girls to become leaders in their communities and make a positive difference in the world.
