Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra 2025-2026 season
The Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra is ready to ignite the city with an ambitious and inspiring 2025-2026 season—one that celebrates unity, tradition, and the power of music to tell our collective stories. With subscriptions now on sale and single tickets available starting June 17th at the Weill Center Ticket Office, there’s never been a better time to experience the magic of live symphonic music in Sheboygan.
The season kicks off October 11th with “Unity & Hope,” an evening that weaves the deeply personal with the universal. The highlight is Michael Kropf’s Moses in Nederland, a moving concerto that honors his great-grandfather’s journey as a Holocaust survivor, with melodies pulled from Moses Schenkein’s own lost compositions. The program then ascends to Beethoven’s monumental Symphony No. 9—culminating in the famous “Ode to Joy,” a choral masterpiece that still resonates as a call for peace and humanity.
December 13th brings the joy and nostalgia of “Snowmen, Nutcrackers… and Kevin McCallister!?”. Experience the cinematic wonder of The Snowman, the timeless holiday enchantment of Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker, and the mischievous fun of John Williams’ score for Home Alone. It’s a concert packed with classic holiday warmth and surprises for the whole family.
The orchestra returns March 7th for “Storytellers,” a night that dives into the world of narrative music. Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel reimagines a fairytale through soaring melodies, while Berlioz’s Symphonie fantastique blurs the line between music and drama, introducing the revolutionary idée fixe—a musical theme so memorable, its DNA can be heard in film soundtracks to this day.
The season closes May 16th with “America@250: A Symphonic Canvas,” painting a portrait of our nation’s musical heritage just in time for America’s 250th birthday. Expect iconic works like Bernstein’s West Side Story, Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, and William Grant Still’s Afro-American Symphony, a groundbreaking piece that fuses blues, jazz, and classical forms into a powerful expression of Black American artistry.
All performances take place at the historic Weill Center, 826 N 8th Street. Subscriptions offer the best seats and savings, while single tickets are available beginning June 17th. To reserve your seats, call (920) 208-3243 or stop by the box office.
