RGA Public Relations Joins Inaugural Sheboygan Film Festival as Strategic Partner

The Sheboygan Film Festival (SFF), an exciting new addition to the Midwest’s creative scene, has announced its partnership with RGA Public Relations to lead its public relations and communications efforts. The inaugural festival is scheduled to run October 2–5, 2025, with a mission to spotlight independent film and position Sheboygan as a regional cultural destination.

RGA Public Relations, a Sheboygan-based agency led by seasoned communicator and filmmaker Rick Grant, will manage media outreach, social media strategy, and thought leadership for the festival’s launch. With decades of PR experience and a background in indie filmmaking, Grant brings a unique blend of storytelling expertise and industry insight to the campaign.
“I’m very proud to support this team and help bring this exciting event to Sheboygan,” said Grant. “Independent filmmakers offer us unique and compelling perspectives. Hosting them here will be a cultural win for the community.”
SFF is organized by the Belladonna Film Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on elevating independent film in the Midwest. Founded by filmmaker and advocate Beah Travis, Belladonna aims to create a festival experience that brings together storytellers, film lovers, and Sheboygan’s growing creative community.
“We’re thrilled to work with RGA as we build momentum for the festival,” said Travis, who also serves as SFF Chair. “The energy and vision Rick brings will help us attract filmmakers and filmgoers from across the region and beyond.”
The Sheboygan Film Festival will feature a variety of programming, including dramatic and documentary features, short films, and family-friendly content. Audiences can also look forward to filmmaker talks, panels, and networking events throughout the city. The regular film submission deadline is June 6, with a final late deadline on July 25.
Rick Grant, who launched RGA Public Relations in 2007, previously worked as a journalist in New York City covering financial services and technology. Since relocating to Sheboygan in 2020, he has continued to advocate for creative communities. His work with the Madison Indie Filmmakers Meetup Group, which grew to over 850 members, reflects his passion for cultivating local film talent.
