Sheboygan-Area Small Craft Advisory Ends at 6 p.m. Oct. 27

A Small Craft Advisory for Lake Michigan nearshore waters from Sheboygan to North Point Lighthouse is in effect until 6 p.m. CDT Tuesday, Oct. 27. The alert applies to the lake, not inland Sheboygan County.

NWS Milwaukee/Sullivan issued an updated Marine Weather Message at 3:03 a.m. CDT Tuesday. The 6 p.m. expiration is four hours earlier than the 10 p.m. end time reported in recent Sheboygan Life coverage.

The National Weather Service expects southeast winds of 15 to 20 knots and waves of 3 to 5 feet. It advises inexperienced mariners, especially operators of smaller vessels, to avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.

Mariners planning to go out on the affected waters should check the latest NWS marine updates before departure.
