Small Craft Advisory Covers Sheboygan-Area Waters Oct. 26–27
Sheboygan County, WI — October 25, 2026
The National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan issued a Small Craft Advisory at 12:43 p.m. CDT Sunday, Oct. 25, for two Lake Michigan nearshore zones: Sheboygan to Port Washington and Port Washington to North Point Light. It is in effect from 7 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, through 10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27.
The newly issued advisory follows an earlier outlook for possible small-craft conditions. NWS expects northeast winds of 10 to 20 knots, gusts up to 25 knots and waves of 4 to 6 feet. A nearshore forecast issued at 7:10 p.m. CDT Sunday forecasts waves building to 5 to 7 feet Monday in the Sheboygan-to-Port Washington zone.
NWS advises inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, to avoid navigating in hazardous conditions. Boaters should check the latest marine alert and forecast before departing during the advisory period.
The advisory applies to the specified Lake Michigan waters; it is not a land-weather advisory for Sheboygan County.
