Sheboygan Area School District Liaison Recognized for Student and Family Support
Sheboygan, WI — October 26, 2026
Sheboygan Area School District’s district-wide McKinney-Vento Liaison, Amee Dulmes, was recognized as a Bay-Lakes Council Frontline Hero for her work helping students and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability access support that can help them stay engaged in school.
SASD announced the recognition on October 20. The award was presented October 13 at the Bay-Lakes Council Golden Eagle Event.
Support for students and families
The district and council describe Dulmes’s role as connecting families with practical resources. Examples include transportation, food, clothing and school supplies, as well as college and financial-aid guidance and career resources.
Help with these needs can address barriers that make it harder for students to participate in school. The recognition highlights work carried out through SASD; it does not describe a new program or a service covering every school in Sheboygan County.
How to reach the district liaison
SASD’s family-support resource page outlines potential supports and lists Dulmes as the district-wide liaison. Families can contact her at mailto:adulmes@sasd.net or (920) 459-3952.
