Urban Middle School Addition Has Footings and Steel Frame in Sheboygan
Sheboygan, Wisconsin — October 20, 2026.
The Sheboygan Area School District’s October 2026 construction update lists the footings and foundation for Urban Middle School’s new addition as poured and its steel frame as erected. The update groups the milestones under October but does not give an exact completion or publication date.
The project is at Urban Middle School, 1226 North Avenue, in the City of Sheboygan. The district describes a three-story addition on the school’s north side, planned to provide core classrooms for each grade. Its September section said work on the addition was beginning; the October section now lists the foundation and steel framing milestones.
Classes continue during construction
Students and staff continue using the operating school, including temporary learning spaces prepared for this school year. The district says temporary walls and safety fencing help keep students away from construction areas, and that safety measures are in place while work proceeds.
Families can follow the district’s Urban construction updates for further information as the project continues.
