Sheboygan lakefront open house on June 6 will offer free sails and tours

A free Saturday stop on the lakefront

Sheboygan families looking for an easy weekend outing have one on Saturday, June 6: the Lakefront Open House at the Sheboygan Yacht Club and Sheboygan Youth Sailing Center. The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Organizers say visitors can expect free sailboat rides, facility tours, a brat fry, and a Coast Guard helicopter on site. It is a simple, low-cost way to spend part of the day near the water.

The venue is at 214 Pennsylvania Avenue in the City of Sheboygan. That exact address should make the lakefront stop easy to find for residents coming in from elsewhere in the county and for visitors already downtown.

The open house gives the public a chance to see the sailing center and yacht club up close while enjoying a family-friendly event on Sheboygan’s waterfront.
