Labor Day weekend means it’s time for the Sheboygan County Fair in Plymouth, plus a lineup of living-history reenactments, nature programs, ghost tours, and local markets. Here’s your full week guide.
Sheboygan County Fair (Aug 28 – Sep 1, Plymouth)
The Fair is the centerpiece of Labor Day weekend, with five full days of rides, animals, food, and grandstand shows.

Daily Admission: Adults $10; Youth (10–14) $5; 9 & under free.
Season Pass: $60 with parking, $40 without parking.

Music Spotlight
Cooper Alan is a country artist known for high-energy performances and singalong favorites, bringing a Nashville vibe to Plymouth.
Plank Road Rendezvous (Aug 29 – 31, Sheboygan County Museum)
Step back in time at Taylor Park with this annual living-history event focused on Wisconsin’s fur-trade era (1750–1840). Visitors will find reenactors in period dress, demonstrations like black-powder shooting and knife throwing, trading posts, and family-friendly hands-on activities.

Nature Saturday at Kohler-Andrae (Sat, Aug 30)
Friends of Kohler-Andrae and Wisconsin DNR naturalists are offering a full day of outdoor education. A Wisconsin State Park admission sticker is required.
- Insect Safari & Monarch Tagging (9:00–10:30 a.m.) – A guided bug hunt and monarch research activity. Meet at the Old Gate near the campground.
- Pie-Iron Cooking Demo (11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.) – Learn to cook campfire pies with the “Pudgy Pie Guy” at the Amphitheater.
- Walk, Talk, Eat & Dance Like a Sandhill Crane (6:00–7:30 p.m.) – Discover crane behavior through interactive fun at the Amphitheater.
- Universe in the Park (8:00–10:00 p.m.) – Evening astronomy talk and telescope viewing at the Sanderling Nature Center.
Ghost Tours: “Specters of the Spotlight” (Sat, Aug 30)
The historic Weill Center in downtown Sheboygan opens its doors for a behind-the-scenes paranormal tour. Learn about unexplained happenings in one of the city’s landmark theaters.

Road America: PCA Chicago Region (Aug 29 – Sep 1)
Elkhart Lake’s Road America hosts the PCA Chicago Region’s TRAC weekend, featuring Porsche Club racing and driver education sessions on the 4-Mile. Expect track activity daily from about 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Spectator access varies, so call ahead if you’re planning to attend. Family-friendly grounds make it an easy day trip paired with fair visits.
