President Joe Biden to visit Wisconsin next week to tout job growth
President Joe Biden will visit Wisconsin on Wednesday to discuss his economic policy plans and highlight job growth in the US. He will talk about how his economic plan is creating good-paying, union jobs and delivering results for the American people. Biden’s visit comes one day after his State of the Union address, during which he will tout job growth, rising wages, and record investments coming back to America. Following the Wisconsin stop, Biden will travel to Tampa, Florida, to discuss a plan to protect Social Security and Medicare. The recent labor report showed that the US added 517,000 jobs in January and the unemployment rate fell to 3.4%, the lowest since 1969. Republicans criticized Biden’s visit, saying inflation has outpaced wages for over 20 consecutive months and Wisconsin families’ pocketbooks are suffering. Wisconsin Democrats praised the Biden Administration’s creation of jobs and said the president understands the importance of working people.
