Muskego rejects $5.9 million public safety referendum
Muskego voters rejected a $5.9 million annual public safety levy increase Tuesday. WISN/Hearst’s unofficial returns showed 9,023 no votes, or 64.42%, against 4,984 yes votes, with all 10 precincts reporting.
The proposal would have raised the city’s ongoing levy limit to support police, fire, EMS, rescue and public works services. Its defeat denies that additional taxing authority.
