The Town of Lima Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Monday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m. at the Lima Town Hall, N3689 County Road I, Sheboygan Falls.
Two proposed ordinance amendments are on the agenda. One would update Section 6.04 regarding mandatory recycling and solid waste separation. The second would amend Section 11.05 covering town fees and charges. Copies of the proposed changes are available through the Town Clerk’s office.
Regular Town Board meetings are held the second Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall.
Annual Town Meeting Agenda Posted
The Town has also published its Annual Meeting agenda for 2026. Items include standard annual business and setting the date for the 2026 Annual Meeting. Residents interested in town budgeting and long-term planning are encouraged to review the posted agenda materials in advance.
I-43 Construction Begins Near Lima Area
A major Wisconsin Department of Transportation rehabilitation project on Interstate 43 began March 2 and will directly affect drivers traveling near the Wilson/Lima Road area.
The $21 million project covers approximately 10 miles of I-43 from Wilson/Lima Road in the Town of Wilson north to WIS 42 in the Town of Sheboygan. Early work includes tree clearing, with more significant construction impacts expected later this spring and summer. The project includes pavement replacement, bridge maintenance on nine structures, and other roadway improvements.
Motorists who use I-43 for commuting to Sheboygan, Sheboygan Falls, or beyond should anticipate changing traffic patterns in the months ahead.
Seasonal Road Conditions Reminder
As winter transitions to spring, seasonal weight restrictions and road condition changes remain a consideration across Wisconsin. State officials note that frozen road declarations typically end in late February or early March, with local jurisdictions responsible for determining conditions on town roads.
Town of Lima residents operating heavy vehicles or farm equipment should monitor local postings and town communications as thawing conditions develop.
