Local government

The Village of Random Lake shared an update on February 19 about the Library Bay Boardwalk and Walkways Project, described as a multi-phase effort led by the Random Lake Beautification Committee in collaboration with multiple local organizations.

On the project page, the village outlines Phase 1 concepts that include: reviving earlier plans for a boardwalk connection along the western edge of the lake to link boat piers to the fishing pier off Lake Dr; an ADA-accessible concrete path intended to connect the sidewalk near the park/village hall area past the back of the library to the Butler St and Lake Dr corner parking lot, then continuing east toward the fishing pier; and a proposed gateway connection from Butler St into Library Bay to help guide visitors from the park toward downtown and local businesses.

The village also notes that Phase 2 ideas (including landscaping, interactive features, and seating) are less defined at this time, with current focus centered on Phase 1.

Schools

Random Lake High School athletics remain busy as the calendar turns toward late February. A boys basketball matchup listed for Friday, February 20 shows the Rams traveling to Kohler, with additional games and schedule notes posted on the conference calendar.

Community events and reminders

Lakeview Community Library (112 Butler Street, Random Lake) continues to serve as a year-round community hub. The library posts its regular public hours online (Mon-Thu 10:00 AM-7:00 PM; Fri 10:00 AM-5:00 PM; Sat 10:00 AM-1:00 PM) and shares updates and links for upcoming programs through its website.

Road work and public safety

No new Random Lake-specific road closure or construction notices were posted in the sources reviewed for this brief. For public-safety awareness, residents can keep an eye on village updates and posted project pages for any future access, parking, or route impacts tied to public works and park-area improvements.
