Sheboygan Welcomes Tsubame Delegation – Host Families Needed!
Sheboygan is gearing up to welcome a delegation from its sister city, Tsubame, Japan! From July 31st to August 6th, 2025, nine students (ages 13–16) and several adult delegates will visit, continuing a tradition of international friendship and cultural exchange.
Become a Host Family – A Rewarding Experience
The Mayor’s International Committee (MIC) is looking for host families to welcome these guests for just six days. This is a fantastic opportunity to share American culture, experience Japanese traditions, and build lasting friendships.
Why Host?
✔ Form meaningful international connections
✔ Introduce your family to Japanese culture
✔ Get full support from MIC
✔ Connect with your guest before they arrive
While families with teens (ages 13–16) are especially encouraged to apply, all interested families are welcome!
Sheboygan’s partnership with Tsubame has fostered goodwill and cultural learning for decades—help keep this tradition alive by opening your home to a visitor from Japan!
