Sheboygan Falls School District Sets Four Referendum Information Sessions and Tours

Sheboygan Falls residents will have four opportunities to learn more about a proposed $65.7 million school facility referendum before voters consider it on Tuesday, November 3.
The School District of Sheboygan Falls and its School Board will pair each information session with a tour of either Sheboygan Falls Elementary School or Sheboygan Falls High School. All sessions begin at 6 p.m.

- Monday, September 28: Sheboygan Falls High School
- Monday, October 12: Sheboygan Falls High School
- Tuesday, October 13: Sheboygan Falls Elementary School

What the proposal would address
The proposal calls for renovations at Sheboygan Falls Elementary School, along with renovations and an addition at Sheboygan Falls High School.
Listed priorities include student-support and special-education spaces, library, cafeteria and kitchen improvements, updated building systems, career and technical education areas, science and STEM spaces, auditorium and gym updates, accessibility improvements, safety work and traffic-flow changes.
The November 3 ballot question will determine whether the proposed facility referendum moves forward. The project has not been approved.
District shares estimated tax impact
The district estimates a maximum planning impact of $0.16 per $1,000 of property value. Using the district’s examples, that would equal about $16 per year for a $100,000 home, $40 annually for a $250,000 home and $80 annually for a $500,000 home.
Those figures are estimates, not final tax bills. The actual impact could vary depending on future property values, interest rates and the district’s financial conditions.
