Sheboygan County Opens 2026-27 Conservation Poster Contest
Sheboygan County, Wisconsin — September 21, 2026.
Sheboygan County has opened its 2026-27 conservation poster contest for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. This year’s theme is “From Source to Sea. Every Drop Has a Journey.”
The Sheboygan County Planning and Conservation Department is coordinating the local contest, which gives students an opportunity to explore water and conservation through art and environmental education.
Five grade divisions are available
The contest includes five divisions:
- Kindergarten through first grade
- Second through third grade
- Fourth through sixth grade
- Seventh through ninth grade
- 10th through 12th grade
The contest is open to Sheboygan County students in grades K-12.
December 11 deadline in Sheboygan
Posters are due December 11, 2026. Entries may be dropped off at the Sheboygan County Planning and Conservation Department, 508 New York Avenue in the City of Sheboygan.
Families, teachers and youth program leaders should check the county’s youth education information for complete rules and any additional poster requirements as those details become available.
Winners may advance to area competition
Winners in each grade division may advance from the Sheboygan County contest to an area competition involving Sheboygan County and eight neighboring counties. Entries that continue from there may advance to the state level and potentially to a national competition.
The contest offers local students a way to share conservation ideas beyond their classrooms while taking part in a broader Wisconsin environmental-education program.
