Sheboygan Area School District opens May 27 sign-up for fall 2026 child care at the Early Learning Center
Sheboygan Area School District families who need child care for next school year have a May 27 deadline to act on a new option at the Early Learning Center.
In an April 30 announcement, the district said it will offer on-site child care for four-year-old kindergarten students through the Community Recreation Department beginning with fall 2026. The two program options are TurtleTot Wraparound Care and 4K Kidstop Before- and After-School Care.
What the program is meant to do
According to the district, TurtleTot Wraparound Care lets students in either a morning or afternoon 4K session extend their day into a full schedule. The plan creates a school day from 8:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., which can make pickup and drop-off easier for families balancing work and school routines.
4K Kidstop is available for families who need care outside regular school hours. The district says space is limited and priority will go to families who complete the interest form by May 27.
Where families can check the site
The Early Learning Center is at 1227 Wilson Avenue in Sheboygan, WI 53081. The school site also notes child care information on its homepage, along with a promotion for fall 2026 sign-up.
For parents planning ahead, this is one more item to put on the calendar before the deadline arrives.
